Brussels Sprouts w/bacon

Components

  • Basic Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb sliced bacon

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped shallots

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Directions

  • make baked brussels sprouts

  • cook bacon & remove

  • drain fat, saving a 1/4 cup, do not wipe pan

  • saute shallots

  • in a bowl, whisk shallots, saved fat, orange juice, and vinegar

  • remove sprouts when ready and toss in dressing

Basic Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts, halved

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • kosher salt

Directions

  • preheat oven to 400F

  • spread sprouts on a baking sheet, add salt & olive oile, and toss to coat.

  • roast sprouts for 20 minutes, until lightly browned and crispy
